Sara Asher is currently working as Senior Director, Einstein Platform at Salesforce. Previously, she organized SF Machine Learning Meetup, and was Director of Product Management and Data Science Solutions at Alpine Data (Acquired by TIBCO). She holds a Ph. D & BS in Mathematics from Northwestern University and Princeton University respectively.

Anya Bida currently serves as Lead Member of Technical Staff for Einstein Infrastructure at Salesforce. Previously, she worked at Alpine Data. She holds a Ph.D. from Mayo Clinic Graduate School and BS from Johns Hopkins University.

T.J. Bay is currently a Senior Data Scientist at Ask Media Group. Previously, he worked as Lead Data Scientist at Alpine Data. T.J. has taught courses at Stanford University, UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, Santa Clara University as well as Metis. He earned his Ph.D. in physics and a postdoctoral fellowship from Stanford University and BS from Northwestern University.

DB Tsai is an Apache Spark committer and PMC member. Currently, he works at Apple’s open source & big data team. Previously, he was the co-organizer of SF machine learning meetup, and held machine learning engineer positions at Netflix and Alpine Data. He received a MS and BS from Stanford University and National Taiwan University respectively. He was a Ph.D. student at Stanford, and co-founded the startup “DuJour” during his Ph.D. studies at Stanford University.

Mark Grover is a committer on Apache Bigtop, a committer and PMC member on Apache Spot (incubating), and a committer and PMC member on Apache Sentry. He currently works as a Product Manager at Lyft and also he's a co-author of O'Reilly's Hadoop Application Architectures.·

Chester Chen currently works as Senior Manager at GoPro Data Science Engineering. Previously, he worked as Director of Engineering at Alpine Data and held various positions at many companies over the years. He received his Ph.D. from The University of Maryland at College Park; BS and MS from Harbin Institute of Technology, China.

David Andrzejewski is a senior engineering manager at Sumo Logic, where he works on applying statistical modeling and analysis techniques to machine data such as logs and metrics. He also co-organizes the SF Bay Area Machine Learning meetup group. David holds a PhD in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Chris Fregly is Founder and Research Engineer at PipelineIO, a Streaming Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Startup based in San Francisco. He is also an Apache Spark Contributor, a Netflix Open Source Committer, founder of the Global Advanced Spark, TensorFlow Meetup, and the author of the O’Reilly Training and Video Series titled, "High Performance TensorFlow in Production."
Previously, Chris was a Distributed Systems Engineer at Netflix, a Data Solutions Engineer at Databricks, and a Founding Member and Principal Engineer at the IBM Spark Technology Center in San Francisco.
