Gaming at Scale: What we learned from building our own multiplayer environment.

Many of us grew up in the Golden Age of Gaming, we had story-driven adventures that took us around fantastic worlds and into scary dungeons. These days, we mostly regal ourselves with experiences that require us to do basic chores, but in-game.

In this talk, Kerim will show how he uses workload orchestration software to … optimize the errand-running process and spawn an army of bots to carry out routine tasks, so he can focus on the fun aspects of the game: building warehouses for all the harvested materials.

Attendees can expect to learn how job orchestration works and how a good cloud computing scaling strategy can help you dig up more useful blocks in Minecraft, how to monitor for failure and account for changing requirements.
