This year has been different for all the events. Many were cancelled, and some companies got rid of them completely. Well, we're not those. Our events are community gatherings, meetings of friends and like-minded engineers. We run meetups year round, and our meetups are already thriving online.
So we'll do the 8th Annual Scale By the Bay 2020 come hell or high water. We'll default to an online event, and will learn the best practices from the pioneering sister conferences like Scala Love.
The CFP will run in stages. We'll fill up at least 1/2 by May 31. Then another 1/4 by June 30th, and so on. The bar will move higher and higher, as always, so submit your best talk early. Review all the talks posted on functional.tv for inspiration.
